Our client, a leading architectural manufacturing organization, is seeking a Manager, Architectural Project Design to lead a team responsible for complex custom architectural projects across commercial construction environments.
This leadership role is ideal for an experienced design professional who thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment and has a proven track record managing design teams, shop drawing production, and project deliverables. You will play a key role in ensuring technical accuracy, driving design excellence, and supporting successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team responsible for architectural project design and shop drawings.
- Assign projects, manage workloads, and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Oversee the development and validation of detailed AutoCAD shop drawings.
- Ensure technical accuracy and compliance across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and external stakeholders on design solutions.
- Maintain and improve CAD standards, workflows, and design processes.
- Support cross-functional coordination between design, manufacturing, and project teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Design, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in architectural design, commercial construction, or a related industry.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams of 10+ people.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience with SolidWorks or ERP systems is considered an asset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $125,000 – $140,000
