A leading industrial equipment organization is seeking a hands-on Service Supervisor to oversee service operations across Eastern Canada. About the Role
As the Service Supervisor, you will serve as the primary link between customers, service technicians, and internal departments. Your responsibilities include assessing service needs, managing repair workflows, coordinating field service activities, and upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer experience. You will also provide technical guidance and may occasionally support customers directly on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily service operations while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment
- Coordinate technician workloads, work in progress, and all customer support activities
- Evaluate equipment received for repair, determine required work, and authorize repair methods
- Prepare accurate repair estimates and technical reports, ensuring clear and timely communication
- Respond to customer service calls and deliver technical support as needed
- Plan and schedule regular, priority, and emergency service calls for field technicians
- Review and validate completed work orders to ensure compliance with internal procedures and ISO standards
- Support packaging, shipping, and billing processes for repaired equipment
- Lead, mentor, and supervise internal and external technicians
- Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and contribute to employee development
- Foster a positive team culture and participate in annual budget planning
Qualifications
- Professional diploma (DEP) in industrial mechanics or electromechanics
- 6-8 years of experience in an advanced industrial mechanical environment, including leadership experience
- 4-5 years in a customer service focused role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP experience considered an asset
- Strong communication skills in French; functional English required for technical documents and communication outside Quebec
- Demonstrated judgment, initiative, leadership, autonomy, and effective teamwork skills
Compensation & Benefits
- $85,000-$90,000 annual base salary
- $10,000 bonus
